Walk Kickoff - ALBANY NEW YORK

Sidney is on his way! And the excitement kicks off at New York's State capital, Albany. Sidney took a walk along the river at the Corning Preserve, stoped by the old RCA building to see Nipper the dog, then stopped by the location of this year's Albany Kidney Walk at the main SUNY campus. Along the way, Sidney visited the dialysis units in Albany and Troy, before heading up the northway to make another dialysis center visit.  Sidney enjoys visiting with all of the patients and healthcare professionals.  Sidney thinks all of the professionals caring for the patients in the northeast are doing an indredible job and can't wait for them to be recognized at the Gift of Life Celebration on May 27.  When he heard there were diamonds at the event, he made a reservation and plans to bring his lady friend, Cindy Kidney, with him

Did you know that there are 7320 people in New York State and 98 people in Vermont that are on the list awaiting a Kidney transplant?
