Sidney is in Buffalo, the 2nd most populated city in the state of New York. Buffalo is a waterfront city, situated at the union of Lake Erie, the Buffalo and Niagara Rivers. While Sidney is in town he’ll take the NKF “New Patient Education” class on April 17th located at NKF’s offices on 300 Delaware Avenue.

His first site-seeing stop will be the one and only Niagara Falls where he’ll take in the breath taking views of this national treasure. While Sidney is in Niagara he hops on the Whirlpool Aero Car, an antique cable car with a spectacular view of the Niagara rapids and Great Gorge. To end the day he’ll ride the Niagara Scenic Trolley, where a knowledgeable guide shares the history of the park as the scenic trolley follows a three-mile route through Niagara Falls State Park.

For lunch Sidney takes a break at the very famous Anchor Bar and Restaurant to enjoy the one and only original chicken wing with buffalo sauce! Everyone is Buffalo is so friendly!

After his rest, he heads for an impressive history lesson at the Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural National Historical site at the Wilcox Mansion.

Then is spends the rest of his day at The Children’s Hospital of Buffalo Dialysis Unit and the Erie County Medical Center Dialysis Unit. There he comforts patients and entertains kids waiting for kidney transplants and going through daily dialysis treatments.

The next day, Sidney hits the pavement running and runs into the Buffalo Museum of Science where he checked out gems, minerals, dinosaurs and robots!

On his way out, Sidney checks out The Naval & Military Park which is located very close to downtown Buffalo, on Buffalo Place at the foot of Pearl and Main streets, across from HSBC Arena. There he explores the Models of Military Aircraft World War II to Present exhibit.

What a great city, filled with lots to do! Sidney had a great time, made some friends along the way and helped his fellow kidney patients too. Want to be like Sidney? Spread the word about preventing Kidney Disease.
