Sidney has trekked to the “windy city” of Chicago! Chicago is the largest city in Illinois, and the third most populous city in the United States. “Chi-Town” is located in northeastern Illinois at the southwestern tip of Lake Michigan.

His first stop is Navy Pier, the Midwest’s top tourist destination. Sidney is taking in lots of exercise on the trip as he strolls on the boardwalk to take a ride on a 150-foot Ferris wheel. Next he enjoys a Segway ride to the 103rd floor of Skydeck Chicago in the Willis Tower (formerly Sears Tower) where he enjoying the cities astonishing architecture from a birds-eye view.

Before Sidney continues touring Chicago, he stops by the Chicago Children’s Hospital where he entertains children waiting for kidney transplants and receiving kidney dialysis by reading stories and telling them about his fun day. Then he hands out balloons and prizes to help make each child extra happy.

Next stop the Chicago Kidney Center on West Jackson Boulevard. Here he talks with patients receiving kidney dialysis about the importance of a eating a healthy diet and moderate daily exercise.

Feeling refreshed and ready to take on his last day in the “Windy City” Sidney stops by the NKF Chicago office where he took a tour of the KidneyMobile® - a custom mobile exhibit offering free prevention education and health screenings for high blood pressure, diabetes and chronic kidney disease (CKD) to Illinois communities.

Before leaving for his next city stop, Sidney visits a Chicago White Sox game at the U.S. Cellular Field. There he enjoyed a hotdog; shook hands with the Sox mascot “Southpaw” and took in a great baseball game on a beautiful day.
